"Take that to your councils and your residents and your accountants – it’s the most convincing evidence yet."
I and many other social housing tenants would, but BAFSA has chosen to charge for copies. In 2012 this gives the impression of a trade body that simply does not know how to communicate. Unless such reports are free to copy and share, they soon get forgotten

Andrew.

I was the foreman sprinkler engineer on the Callow Mount project.
I can safely say, that retro-fitting of supression systems to any high rise block is acheivable,in regarding cost and installation practice and timescale.
The upcoming BAFSA report, will support my previous statement.
I am sick and tired of the sound bites from various sectors,in regards,as to the statement in your piece, of "The hoplesnees of the Neasden tragedy, and what could have been done",and what should have been done.
Fire sprinklers have been around as long as penicilin and polio treatments.
Yet the reticence, and hesitation to implement the wider use of them, frankly baffles me.
As Scottsdale gave us more than we could ever hope as a case study, some in government choose to blankly ignore the statistics.
Currently,Ronnie King, and Anne Jones, seem to be fighting a George and Dragon scenario, and without a serious attack from the combined power of the Fire & Rescue Services, plus BAFSA,FSA,FIA,IFE,NFSN,and all the other reputable associations, the legal implementation of fire sprinklers into ALL NEW construction developments, will be looked on as futile.

I would appreciate your feedback,so please feel free to contact me,on:
